Don’t remember your login password? Or want a much more swift and easy way to access your WordPress dashboard?
In cPanel you can easily access your WordPress admin dashboard and that also without ever needing a password. All you need is software called Softaculous. An auto-installer that lets you use and install all the commercial and open-source web applications needed for a website. Don’t worry, you don’t need to go somewhere else or purchase it separately but it already comes pre-installed with every cPanel control panel and is absolutely free of cost.
Where to find the Softaculous?
You can easily navigate Softaculous on the main cPanel dashboard. You can either search it by name on the top-right search bar or you can scroll down on the dashboard and will find a tab named Softaculous Apps Installer. As Softaculous is a script-based library, currently providing 382 great scripts, under this tab you will find a script named WordPress.
Under the Scripts section, click on the WordPress option which will redirect you to the WordPress installation window. If you haven’t installed it yet, you can do that from here.
Else, under the Current Installations tab you will see a list of all the WordPress applications already installed using Softaculous. Each installation has an admin icon which can be used to access the WordPress dashboard by clicking on it. By clicking on the human icon, you will be directed to the main WordPress admin Dashboard. Here, you will be able to modify your WordPress website, as well as reset or change your login password if you have forgotten.
Already installed WordPress
If you have already installed your WordPress website manually on the cPanel you can still login to the WordPress dashboard without the password. There are two ways to do that. One is through “WordPress Manager by Softaculous” and the other is by the direct “Softaculous Apps Installer”. Under the Software section you will find both of these options by name.
1. Login via WordPress Manager by Softaculous
By clicking on this option, you will be directed to the WordPress Management window. Here, under the Installations tab you will find a list of all the installed websites. Just scroll to your desired website and click on Login button which will direct you to the WordPress dashboard and will be logged-in as admin user.
2. Login via Softaculous Apps Installer
By clicking on this option, you will be directed to a new window. Here, you will see three major options. Click on “Installations”.
You will be directed to “Scripts Installations”. Under this tab you will find a list of all the installed websites. Just scroll to your desired website and click on the human icon under the admin section. The admin icon will redirect to your WordPress website’s admin dashboard.
